FAQ

  • To start using Dispill®, what do I need to do?

    For 28 Cell Cards order our starting kit (no starting kit currently available for the 32 cell cards) and simply order a box of blisters and a box of labels and you will have everything you need. You will also need to download the Dispill® printing program via here. The program is easy to install and use. If you need assistance, you can watch our online training video or you can contact technical support at 877-361-1995.

  • Can Dispill® print for more than 7 days on a weekly 28-cell blister pack?

    Yes, thanks to our compress feature we can use the weekly pack (28 cells) to print for 28 days (taking medication once daily) or 14 days (taking medication twice daily).

  • What are the PRN labels (white labels) used for?

    The white labels are used for PRN medications (“take as needed” medications) as well as for standard medications in compress mode.

  • What happens if Dispill® does not interface with my pharmacy software program or if my pharmacy software provider asks a prohibitive price for the interface?

    Our Dispill® printing program also includes a very popular and easy to use Manual program that allows you to build your patient database and print labels independently of your pharmacy software program. This option also provides the advantage of being extremely robust.

  • Do you have marketing material available?

    Yes, you can go to the marketing material section to review what we have available or call 877-361-1995 to talk with our sales rep.

  • Can the Dispill® label print other information that is not shown on the samples?

    Yes, other information can be printed on the Dispill® labels. The samples are only an example of what can be printed. Our technical support team can create a custom label for your pharmacy at no charge. Many options are available within the software or call us at 877-361-1995 and your custom labels will be ready within 24 hours, in most cases.

  • What is the difference between the Standard labels & the Class B labels?

    The Class B labels offer a better barrier against moisture.

  • Is it possible to change the morning, noon, evening and bedtime default intake times to custom intake times (ex: 7AM, 11AM, 5PM, 8PM)?

    Yes, it is possible to customize the intake times at the patient level or at the facility level.

  • Does the free Dispill® printing program print reports for Nursing homes and/or physicians?

    Yes, the Dispill® printing program can print many types of MAR/MOR, POS, Delivery Checklist, etc. Also, all of these reports can be easily customized for your needs.

  • Can Dispill integrate with eMAR software?

    We currently integrate using 2D Barcodes (also known as QR codes) for these eMAR softwares.
    • QuickMAR
    • ChartMed
    • ACC
    • Cerner HER
    • Accuflo

    We are willing to work with any eMAR software that is looking to integrate Dispill packs using the 2D barcode for administration.

  • Is the FDA statement printed on the label?

    Yes. On the back of the label there are statements regarding possible side effects and prohibiting the transfer of drugs to others.

  • Can I have Dispill on multiple workstations?

    YES, we have a client server version of the software that uses a free MySQL database to share the data between all workstations.

    Minimum requirements:
    • 8 Gig memory (RAM)
    • Windows Operating System 64 bit

    Pharmacy must call support @ 1-877-361-1995 to schedule an appointment for setup

  • What Printer should I use for Dispill

    • Any Laser printer can print Dispill labels
    • For 32 cells labels, your printer tray(s) need to handle Legal size paper (8.5” x 14”).
    • Personal office printers and small multifunction printers (fax, copier, printer combo) are not recommended for Dispill Labels.

  • Can the labels be modified for my pharmacy preference, facility request or state law requirements?

    • Many options are available within the Configurations and Settings in the Dispill software.
    • The support team at Dispill-USA can make personalized modifications to your label if your requirements are not met with options in the configuration.

  • What costs are associated with Dispill.

    • Software, support and setup are all free of charge
    • Your Pharmacy Management Software vendor may charge a fee if you would like the Dispill interface
    • You pay for the Dispill Supplies (Labels, blisters, accessories)

  • Can Dispill handle customers that need to take medication more than 4 times a day?

    Dispill can handle numerous intake times (HOA) per customer limited to 4 intake times per label.

    EX: if your customer has to take medication 6 times a day you would have 4 intake times on one label and the other 2 on the next label.

    These labels can also be printed per intake time (HOA)

  • Can I transfer customer information from my Pharmacy Management System (PMS) to Dispill?

    • Yes, Dispill can interface with many PMS vendors and the list is available on our website here
    • If the PMS you use is not listed please contact us and we will try to work with that vendor to create an interface
